Oracle Binary & Database 11gR2 Installation Over ASM On Linux 6.4 (Step By Step)




How to Install  Oracle Binary  11gR2 on Linux 6.4
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

System Requirement: 

1. Oracle Linux 6.4 x64 bit. Follow below link.  


2. Oracle Grid 11gR2 Installation On Linux 6.4

Step 1: Go to the location where you stored your Oracle 11gR2 binary and unzip both zip file & after zipped database folder come in picture.





Step 2: Login as a root and hit "xhost +" command to disable access control to invoke GUI. Go into database base folder and execute the "./runInstaller ". 

Step 3: Uncheck the box "I wish to receive security updates via My Oracle Support. "





Step 4:  Click on yes.


























Step 5: Click on Skip Software Update.





Step 6: Click on Create and Configure a database.



























Step 7: Click on Server Class. 



























Step 8: Select a name for database.



















Step 9: Click on Next. 





Step 10: Select a password and remember it. :)




Step 11: Select Do not enable backups and click on Next.






























Step 12: Select a diskgroup to store db datafiles. 





























Step 13: Click on User the same password for all accounts and select a password. Click Next.

Step 14: Click on Yes.




Step 14: Select oinstall Group name And Click Next.





























Step 15: It will Check prerequisites and click next.  





Step 16: Click Next. 




Step 17: It will start Installation and In-progress. 




Step 18: Database installation is in-progress. 




Step 19: Click on Ok.


Step 20: Run This root.sh script via root user. 


Step 21: Like this. 




Step 22: Click on close. 


Step 23: Connect to the database. 




Step 24: Verify your database and datafiles.
